One thing that most people learn as they're dealing with acne is that this condition is very persistent. Unless you are treating it correctly and with the care it requires per your particular skin type, you are not going to get rid of it. Here are a few things you can try.

When applying a green concealer to counteract the look of acne, it should be done prior to applying a base makeup. The point of using makeup during outbreaks of acne should always be to make the acne appear less problematic. A green colored concealer will help the foundation do it's job of creating the illusion of flawless skin.

If you are suffering from severe acne, it may be best to make an appointment with a dermatologist. They can prescribe a prescription medication that will be more helpful for clearing up acne, and many times will be covered by your medical insurance carrier. Ask friends or family for a recommendation to a good doctor.

If you have problems with acne in your T-zone, get the right products to help fight it. Gel based cleansers work well for oily areas. Also, find a good astringent to eliminate extra oils. Finding a targeted facial mask for the T-zone to use once a week will dry up oil problems. Pore strips and blotting strips will also help for a quick fix.

Taking a high-dose vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) supplement everyday could reduce acne and improve the overall condition of your skin. Some studies suggest that vitamin B5 can regulate hormones and fatty acids. A build up of fatty acids in the body can cause sebum to be excreted through pores on the skin leading to acne, so by taking a supplement that regulates the levels of fatty acids in the body, acne outbreaks should be reduced.

To minimize facial acne, be sure to wash your skin twice a day, not less and not more. Natural beneficial oils may be washed away with more frequent washing. A morning and an evening wash with a mild cleanser should wash away enough excess oil to keep acne at bay.

Things like your particular type of skin will dictate the level of care that you need, in order to get rid of these blemishes, so always be sure that you're focusing on these tips and applying them correctly if you want to beat acne. It may take a while to see results, but these tips are easy to apply and will work well.
